Multiusos de Guimarães ready to receive final of Song Festival

Fourteen interpreters and their respective composers are fighting for a place in Eurovision on Sunday. The decision will be known at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Guimarães, which hosts the final of the event organized by RTP.

After the two semifinals of the event were held in Studio 1 of RTP in Lisbon, the music show is decentralized and heads to Guimarães.

Seventeen years later, the festival from which the representative of our country will leave Eurovision returns from Lisbon. The last time this had happened outside in 2001, when RTP took him to Santa Maria da Feira. Now, it is the turn of the Multipurpose Pavilion of Guimarães to receive the Song Festival.

Speaking to JN, Gonçalo Madaíl, from RTP’s programming directorate, assured that “it is RTP’s intention to maintain this decentralization over the next few years.” “We still do not know where and when, but we want the final of the festival to be decentralized”, assured our newspaper the organizer of the event.

Peu Madureira (“Only for her”), Cláudia Pascoal (“The Garden”), January (“(without title)”), Catarina Miranda (“To smile I do not need anything”), Anabela “), Maria Inês Paris (” Blue Flag “), Minnie & Rhayra (” Patati potato “), Lili (” The Storks Flight “), David Pessoa Joana Espadinha (“Zero to zero”) and Rui David (“Fearless”) are the interpreters who, this Sunday, compete for the first place of the table, in an issue conducted by Filomena Cautela, Pedro Fernandes and Inês Lopes Gonçalves.

The winner will represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest, which is held for the first time in our country, in the Parque das Nações, in Lisbon. The two semifinals take place on May 8 and 10 and the final is scheduled for the 12th.
